Rescue Essentials EMT Bag - Great!

    Posted by chris on 06 16 2021

This is a cool bag. It's what I'd call a medium size bag, not huge, not small. If you're familiar with the condor deployment bag (which is annoyingly a bit small) this bag is bigger than that. Plenty of internal room, external pockets for all the med kit goodies. Highly recommend if you're looking for something less expensive.

    Rescue Essential EMT Bag

Good medical bag for the money. Your basic inexpensive gym bag enhanced for medical kit use. I'm a long expired EMT who wanted a kit for vehicle use that was more comprehensive than typical IFAKs or plastic box first aid kits. So this thing is just fine. It's not too big (about the size of a small gym bag or diaper bag), but plenty big enough for OTC meds/liquids, trauma dressings, SAM splints, ice packs, wraps, BP cuff, bandages, etc.). You can easily fit four x 4" Israelis into either of the end zippered pouches. The larger/taller zipper end pouches will take 6" or 8" pressure dressings, SAM splints, one-time use cold or heat packs, etc. The interior is separated into three compartments by a removable nylon/foam divider. Two small ones and one larger that is full length across the long edge of the main bag compartment. You could fit 2 x 1 Qt canteens into each of the smaller ones (to give you an idea about size). so plenty of interior room for things like larger bottles of rubbing alcohol, Betadine, Pedialyte, etc.). Which will stay in one place. Also things like abdominal dressings, plastic sub-kit boxes, bulk supplies. Maybe not the ticket for a full-time first Provider, but ideal for an easily transportable home, office, or vehicle kit. With enough guts to treat multiple casualties or scenarios. One thing to note is that the smallish u-shaped zipper flap on top is the only access to the main compartment interior. It's enough, but you access everything stored in there from that top angle. Bag is smooth/pocketless on one side so that you can carry it comfortably slung from a shoulder. Marked with a white cross on top of bag to denote emergency medical supplies. For the relatively low price, exactly what I wanted.

    Great Bag

Great quality bag construction. Has plenty of room for all of my EMT-B gear. The only complaint I have is I wish it had some built-in reflectivity. Maybe some reflective stitching I did add some of those glow-in-the-dark zipper pulls, which definitely helps..

seems to be the right bag for the job, lots of room for what's needed, room for extra as well

Bag is new, seems to be well made . No usage at this time. With most things time will tell the tale. Don't expect any problems for it's intended use.

Great way to organize your "go" kit.

Before getting this bag I had medical supplies in several smaller bags and if I was putting a kit together I would spend more time trying to remember where everything was rather than getting it put together. This is not a huge bag so you're not tricked into having too much stuff. Center compartment has malleable dividers, and there are several external side pockets. Nice grab handle and optional carrying strap. Was the best bargain for this size and Rescue Essential's flat rate shipping makes it the best deal on the web.

    Great Bag For The Money

This bag is a great size. It could use more dividers in the main compartment. All in all great product.

    Nice bag for the size

The bag is good if you want a small multi-purpose bag. I found it to be undersize for what I needed. But in the end I found a purpose for it.
