Celox Rapid Ribbon is a thin hemostatic "ribbon" impregnated with Chitosan. It is the first compact-carry minimal compression time gauze for narrow entry wounds. The 1" x 5' strip is easier to insert into the wound track. CeloxTM Rapid Ribbon brings all the benefits of Celox Rapid Gauze in a 1 inch strip. The low profile pack is easily concealed. The reduced size makes it ideal for treating narrow entry wounds such as bullet, blast fragment and stab injuries. CeloxTM Rapid provides considerably reduced treatment time, as well as, quicker compression time in laboratory tests. Independent testing has shown that the faster treatment time offered by CeloxTM Rapid significantly reduces blood loss. Evacuation tests have shown that CeloxTM Rapid maintains its volume and adhesion to wet tissue during use, with no re-bleeding and hemostasis maintained during transport.

Unique Hemostatic Size
I got this for a range kit for it's unique thin strip configuration. This size would make packing small diameter wounds much easier than the wider gauze. I also prefer the Celox as it works on medically treated individuals with anti-coagulant medications and is not noted for any thermal reaacive problems. Nice small package, but a because the roll is sealed on one side of the package, it is not entirely flat. Sort of like having a roll of tums on one side of a small rectangular sealed package. Price is good for this product. Have not used this so can't verify efficacy, but the literature on it is positive. While rectangular pads work nicely for larger wounds, one still may need more than one for anything of any size and depth. Also, they are not as easy to work into smaller wounds such as punctures. For a one piece of gauze that has multiple uses, this is a great little product.

small pack with serious punch
i bought this to ad to mine and my wife edc pocket trauma kit and this product takes up almost. no space and fits with ease into pocket attached to my SWAT-T and a pair off gloves.
