The Conterra Sherpa Platform helps to bridge the gap between technical, vehicle-based rescue and specialized backcountry rescue. With the quality and durability (made of ballistics nylon) of an expedition pack, an aluminum frame that offers support and comfort, and tough zippers, straps and other extras, this pack is bomber. The unique design includes a "pod bay", which can quickly fit a rigging / rope bag, or a variety of other necessities including a large water jug, hard cases (Pelican 1550 case or similar), gas can, 600 feet of rope, or other bulky items that are vital to the mission. A large flat pocket behind the pod bay can fit handy components like a clip board or white board.
The bottom pocket is big enough (6" x 15" x 6") to fit a helmet and other personal gear. For the things you need on hand, the top lid also includes a pocket - perfect for storing headlamps, snacks, etc. Three strong handles (one on top and two on sides) allow for a variety of carrying, packing, hauling, or storing options. In case of an emergency, the foam frame sheet can be removed from the back of the pack, unfolded and used as a patient or bivvy pad.
Supplies are sold separately.
