Trauma Supplies Critical for Active Shooter Response

Posted by Nick Disparti on 30 2015

The recent active shooter incident in Colorado Springs has once again reinforced the importance of Care Under Fire and early medical response by law enforcement to deal with injuries sustained in an ongoing active shooter incident. Bleeding control, airway/respiratory maintenance and hypothermia prevention combined with effective casualty evacuation is proven to save lives both on the battlefield and on the streets of our hometowns.

Whether it's Rescue Essentials or any of our competitors, we're all here to provide the critical tools and training that help law enforcement in responding to these events. We're very proud of all the Law Enforcement, Fire and Medical  agencies who responded to the Colorado Springs incident and our thoughts and prayers go out to those that lost their lives or were injured in this shooting. We would especially like to express our condolences to the family of UCCS Officer Garrett Swasey who valiantly gave his life trying to protect the citizens of Colorado Springs from the assailant. He is and will be remembered as a Hero.
