Fluff Bandage Roll-Sterile 4.5" 8ply

First of all, this is not a reflection on Rescue Essentials; they were outstanding when contacted about the issue with the one I received. Unfortunately, the replacement that I was sent exhibited the exact same flaw, which was that it was not airtight. This was evident when it was pressed flat (which you should not be able to do) and it immediately returned to its original shape, clearly indicating a breach in the hermetic seal. These are marked as “Sterile”, but they cannot be if air is able to enter the package. The source of the problem in my opinion—Made in China. I was assigned there in the late 1990’s, and the country has absolutely no quality standards. My recommendation to RE would be to drop this supplier, before your good name is associated with a bad product. Rescue Essentials reply: We are currently looking into this, testing the integrity of the packaging under conditions it might experience during shipment. Will update with our findings. This is a well-thought-of supplier, so we expect the issue to reside with the shipping services.

There is a great, basic, bulky guaze. The fact that it may or may not be completely sterile, is kind of a moot point as far as I'm concerned. Working in the field, at best, wounds or considered dirty and I have no problem what so ever with using this guaze for wrapping, packing or whatever else I may encounter as a paramedic.
