The Tactical First Response (TFR) Kit - Basic from Rescue Essentials is intended to provide field personnel with a compact and durable kit to treat severe bleeding. This kit is vacuum packaged for reduced displacement. It is configured to fit into a BDU pocket, vest pouch or individual bag, allowing personnel to carry a compact bleeding control kit on their person, where it is most needed.  The vacuum sealed package is rugged, durable and easy to open.

The key difference between the Basic and Advanced kits is the inclusion of the Celox™ hemostatic agent in the Advanced and the replacement of the petrolatum gauze dressing as an improvised chest seal with the Hyfin® Chest Seal from North American Rescue. The Advanced kit contains a higher quality and more versatile 4" Trauma Dressing and also includes a 5.5" Trauma Shears.

    handy kit.

I bought three of these when they were on sale. Money well spent. Too big for cargo pocket on 511's but they fit in bdu's. A nice conglomeration of stuff. Wish it had celox but it's good anyway.

    Looks outstanding

Well I rated 4 stars because I've never had the need to open it and you cant really judge it all until that day. As far as it goes so far though, the kit looks outstanding. Even simple things like the weight is quite balanced and everything is laid out in a manner that makes it very easy to store in any location. Its the perfect small trauma kit for a back pack but i highly recommend getting at least a set of EMT shears to supplement the kit.

    The packaging sells it

So its all good stuff that you are going to need to help with a trauma injury. It is packaged in a sturdy plastic bag and vacuum sealed, reducing the physical size of the total package. I don't like to carry huge kits with me camping or backpacking, so this helps me get good stuff in a smaller package.
