NAR Scissors Leash
Attached to my X-Shears when in my scissors pouch. Yeah it keeps them from getting lost, but more importantly, it keeps the gooey shears out of my leather scissors pouch or kits. Hunting knife or trauma shears, once leather is contaminated with biologics, it can't be deconned. No matter how scrupulous your cleaning, every time you reinsert "it" back into the leather, it gets re-contaminated. My thing about Raptors, too many nooks and crannies. HIV virus dies quickly when exposed to air, Hep B/C cultured on an environmental surface, a week later you find live virus. All it takes is broken skin. Lots of trauma patients have broken skin. Think about that before you, move from one patient to the next. The leash keeps my shears attached to me until I can clean them.
