Silverlon Dressings are made of knitted nylon, plated with approximately 99% elemental silver and 1% silver oxide. They are sterile, porous, and non-adherent, and silver ions provide a natural antimicrobial dressing, helping to reduce infections. Through testing, these dressings have been shown to effectively protect against microorganisms such as: Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus (VRE), Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia Coli (E. coli), Shigella sonnei, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas cepacia, Pseudomonas maltophiliaa, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, Enterobacter cloacae, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella typhi, Enterococcus sp., Serratia marcescens, Listeria monocytogenes, Enterobacter cloacae, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Group B Streptococcus, Candida albicans, and Aspergillus niger.
The flexible dressings conform to wound sites (burns, blast injuries, abrasions, open fractures, lacerations, Stage I-IV dermal ulcers, surgical, or traumatic wounds) to protect and defend against bacterial threats. This product can be used in an austere or civilian environments.
